How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP4980997 / WH12X10479 Washer Water Level Pressure Switch

Replaced with new part. - 20 minutes. 

After disconnecting power plug and removing control cover plate, it was a simple matter to replace the broken washer pressure plate with the new one. Before doing the repair, I checked on YouTube to insure I used the correct procedures. It was a breeze. 

Removed back from control panel, disconnected wires, twisted old switch out and replaced with new one, reconnected wires and reinstalled panel back. Twenty minutes at most. 

I ordered the parts and they came very quickly. I took the screws from the back of the control panel and popped the front of and then removed the old one and put the new one, popping it in place, then added the knob on the front. Put the front panel back in place and screwed it back together. It was that simple and couldn't be any happier about how easy it was. 

I replaced the broke switch with a new Pressure Switch and Knob. I would like to add that my parts arrived earlier than expected. and worked perfectly. Thank you!! 

I followed the youtube video and replaced the Pressure Switch. Worked perfectly. 

I contacted the company regarding what I needed (had no clue shaft was broken and needed a part number) and pictures to explain the problem. The company quickly pointed out what I might need to fix the problem and shipping was super fast that I replaced the parts without a problem. Ordered new part online. Received it in 5 days, took about 20 min. to fix. 

Replaced Pressure Switch and Control Knob. 

Removed the three fixing screws from the rear that hold the switch panel the small plastic locking clip had broken so the switch was still loose so drilled a hole through the mounting pane l in a place that was just the metal of the switch mounting base screwed in a self tapping screw switch is now tight refitted the hose and wireing plug and refitted panel fixing screws and new knob test working ok
