How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2024331 / WB24X823 Primary And Secondary Door Switch

The interlock circuit on the microwave door was shorted through the failed micro switch. An ohm reading from the input power to neutral followed by disconnecting various loads identified the failed switch. The part was ordered and replaced and the microwave was reinstalled and went back to work. 

Found that the Primary switch had broken again after abut 2 years since last one replaced. I ended up replacing all switches since I had it open and the cost for the switches are minimal except the primary and secondary. I re-krimped the conectors as they are rather loose fitting. Plugged it in and it works. 

The primary switch and the fuse were replaced. 

I looked on the Appliance Parts Pros website and they carried the complete control panel assembly. While I was fixing it, I decided to also replace the dead light bulb and the door switch and the cracked turntable. The microwave is a built-in model, so replacement is quite expensive. The actual repair was pretty straight forward and took me about 1.5 hours. The microwave works great now!
