How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3995164 / WE1M652 Timer Knob

Talked to people at Appliancepartspros.com they told me the correct part to order. Received it the next day. In less then one minute, my dryer was fixed and is working great. Less than $. 

I just put it on when I lined it up and was unsure whether it would fit due to the manufacturer not making mine anymore. As it turned out, this one is going to work better because the design is sturdier than the one I had. Thank you for having a replacement better than I expected. 

I watched the AppliancePartsPros videos, got an idea of the likely cause. Took apart dryer as per video. Found the belt tensioner switch was bad. Ordered the part from ApplianceParsPros and received it in 2 days. Installed switch, reassembled dryer and it works like new. 

New replacement. 

Couple of times my wife turned timer knob counter clockwise. I have had this GE dryer for approximately fifteen years, third time replacing knob and first time replacing timer, first time replacing lint filter. DIY, removed back upper panel and replaced timer, knob easy and lint filter.

Just placed new part in place. Wife is very happy.
