Robert K Albuquerque , NM February 16, 2015 Appliance: LG Refrigerator LFC25760SB Lg fridge lfc25760sb with 40w std light bulbs in it that got too hot and melted the light housing Had to replace light lens, and lens housing. Two screws hold the housing to the roof of the fridge. The instrumentation cluster is held to the housing with three screws which requires carefully peeling off the touch screen sticker which then can be reapplied after the instrument cluster is swapped into the new housing. Replace std bulbs with either fluorescent, or LED bulbs to prevent further problems....like fires. Ronald M Kansas City , MO October 07, 2014 Appliance: Model 795.77304600 My case was damaged from lightning storm don't know how but it was hanging down & warped plastic with some of it melted I pulled out the frig & unplugged it I unplugged the wire to the control. Unscrewed the two screws that at the time were holding up the reflector for the lights. Took a scraper with a very thin blade to pull the face cover for the touch screen control away to get the three screws removed that hold the control in place. Placed the control panel into the case display .. attached with the three screws. Put the touch screen back over the control without needing any glue. Enough was still on it. Placed the case into it's proper place & attached with the two screws. Re - attached the wire to the control by simple plugging it in. Plugged in the refrigerator. Opened the door & all was working correctly. Rolled frig back the 6" I had pulled it to unplug. Mark M Mesa , AZ October 07, 2024 Appliance: LG Refrigerator LFC25760SW/00 The control panel compartment and cover had melted because of heat from incandescent bulbs Our refrigerator door had sprung open so we didn't see the lights on. The incandescent bulbs heated up and melted the control frame and cover. I received an email with a line for each of the two repair pieces. Each part line had a video link that described in outstanding detail how to complete the project. I followed the video instructions and they worked like a charm. I loved the exceptional video support given and would absolutely purchase parts again from this company. I also replaced the bulbs with LED to avoid future heat problems. Read More... Patricia L Auburn , ME September 18, 2020 Appliance: LG Refrigerator LFC25760SW/00 Lights stayed on when door was closed melting the light frame and lens causing severe bubbling on roof of fridge and burning the lamp socket. Watched videos on appliance parts pros.com, making for an easy change-out. Instead of using a heat gun to remove the front sticker over the control panel touch pad, I used a hair dryer. Then, instead of using incandescent bulbs, I replaced them with A15 40W LED daylight bulbs. What a nice change. And they don’t heat up! Read More...
