How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP5620091 / EAU61383503 Circulation Pump Motor

Replaced the motor assembly,pump. 

I replaced the drain pump. Under visual inspection after removal, I could see that the impeller on the drain pump was cracked and the impeller shaft was loose. The video for the process was helpful, and the work went fairly smoothly, taking an afternoon to complete. A suggestion that helped also was to take a couple of photos of the installed pump assembly prior to disconnecting any lines or removing it. 

Replaced Drain Pump. Also replaced worn drain hose, recirculation pump, and tub drain hose since I had the entire machine taken apart. Wash Machine only 3 years old. Interesting since the error was intermittent. 

Drain pump. This site is great for diagnostic and repair. For this repair the lg repair videos show taking entire unit apart to get to pump. But all I had to do was tip washing machine back and simple access from under unit. Simple 30 minute job. Don’t remove any hoses. 

Ordered both drain and recirculation pump, also gasket for tub. Watched videos and did it myself. 

Replaced washer pump, drain pump and all 3 shock absorbers. Noticed the shock absorbers when front cover off to remove door seal. 

I first purchased from Amazon and the parts failed. I then ordered from Appliance Parts Pros and they fit perfect and worked great! They carry high-quality parts with video instructions on most repairs big and small. I couldn’t be more pleased! They get 5 stars in my book! ***** 

I watched the videos here, and with the exception of a step where I would press on a “clip” to release the motors (the motors were screwed in), it was a really easy and quick job. I would suggest that if you don’t have “mechanical inclination”, it might take you an extra 1/2 - 1 hour. So far, everything works like it was brand new! 

I replaced the drain pump and the circulation pump. The circulation pump was not bad but i went ahead and changed it out since the washer is seven years old. 

I got a replacement part forvthecdrain pump and purchased the circulation pump as well
