How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4441766 / 4924FD2123E Dispenser Assembly

What an easy fix! Ordered new soap dispenser from AppliancePartsPros and received it within 24 hours. Unplugged the dishwasher from the wall socket(if yours is wired direct you'll have to trip the breaker). Removed 12 screws from around inside of the door(you don't have to remove the 2 closest to the latch) and dropped the outside side skin off. Removed the 3 electrical plugs(mark where the 2 on the left go so you don't get 'em backwards putting it back together. Removed the 6 screws and brackets holding the dispenser in the door. Now it gets just a bit tricky, I used 4 plastic putty knife style spreaders to hold the metal catches up off the tabs and pushed the dispenser out. You could probably use screwdrivers or regular putty knives, etc, I just happened to have those plastic spreaders like are used to smooth body putty on metal. Once you get the old one out you're pretty much home free. Just pop the new dispenser in, replace the brackets and screws, plug in the three electrical plugs(don't forget how the 2 on the left go), Put the skin back on the door, and plug her in(reset breaker), you're all ready to wash dishes again. And, the whole experience only takes about 20 minutes assuming the 3 year old doesn't carry off a couple screws and the dog doesn't chew the electrical plugs. I estimate I saved around $120.00 doing this myself.

Easily found the matching part on your website. Ordered the part which was delivered FedEx in 2 days. Removed 12 screws from the door. Replaced part which fit perfectly and was back in business. 

Easy, with two unexperienced people, thanks to comments from another customer. Unscrewed face of dishwasher to expose back side of dispenser, unhooked electrical connections, used a flathead screwdriver to remove old dispenser, replaced with new, rebooked connections, screws, etc. 

Replaced the Dispenser Assembly. It only took 10 minutes. Video on website was very helpful. 

I ordered the part which arrived within a few days. I watched the how to video provided by Appliance Parts Pros which was clear and concise. It provided the tools needed and each step to complete the task. It only took less than 10 minutes to complete.

Replaced it 

1. Pulled out the screws around the outside of door 2. Remove door cover 3. Remove hold down brackets from dispenser (top and bottom) 4. remove wires from dispenser (three total - draw a diagram to identify where they go) 5. Use multiple paint spatulas work the metal clips off the old dispenser 6. Push old dispenser out toward inside of dishwasher 7. Reinsert new dispenser in reverse order. It took three paint spatulas for me to get it back in. Note metal hold down clips are sharp
