How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4442283 / 5989JA1002D Ice Maker Assembly Kit

Ordered a replacement part 

Replaced the ice maker assembly 

Replaced icemaker 

Replaced the icemaker assembly with a new one. It arrived quickly and was easy to replace. Only one screw to remove, and one wiring connection to unplug, 

Replaced the original ice maker assembly kit with this part. 

Replace the ice maker. It was the exact part that I needed. It took me about 15 minutes to replace it. It has been making ice since it was repaired. 

I ordered a new assembly kit. The part came the same week, which I was impressed. I pulled out my screwdriver and changed the unit out. I pressed the test unit button and watched the unit work."BINGO". The water started filling the ice tray and now I am getting ICE. 

Replace ice maker. 

A quick part change solved the problem.
