How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP5272765 / EBR62198104 Control Board

After prodding the internet for troubleshooting tips regarding no power-on indication on washer, I continued verifying power was available at plug. I verified approx 120VAC was going to PCB of washer. I also noticed red LED did not illuminate on PCB after depressing the power button. No voltage was measured between two pins of connectors on PCB as noted from previous tip someone had written. Thus confirming PCB was bad. Part received 1 day after order at 1:15PM via FedEx. Part was installed and washer up and running at 2PM. Replacing isn't too difficult. Tools required was a No 2 Phillips and a small flat screwdriver to unlock connectors (depressing tabs). Connectors are different from eachother (pin configuration & color) so really no chance on getting them mixed up. Although I did take pictures just to be on the safe side. Easy order process, fast delivery and good price. No complaints. Washer works great. In fact, I'm doing laundry as I'm writing this.now. 

Used a multimeter (ohm setting) to determine that the fuse on the PCB assembly was blown. Ordered and new assembly and it was very easy to install (plug and play) Washer it back up and running. 

Replaced Main PCB with "LG original part" PCB Assembly board. I used quotes because two components were redesigned by LG that required cutting a tab off the board housing using a dremel and swapping two wire connectors. Other than those two minor issues. The board slotted into the panel housing and secured safely. The washing machine powered on normally post-repair and the washing machine is now functioning normally. The board cost ~$211 with shipping and handling. A nice saving of $600 if I had to replace the ~10 year old machine. 

Replaced main circuit board -piece of cake!!! 

Tested noise filter and it was generating 120 volts. Replaced control board. Appliance Parts Pros had the part to me overnight with standard shipping. 

Took the new part out of the shipping pkg and then about 15-20 min later I was able to was clothes again ! 

I saw online instructions on YouTube and the repair was simple enough for a caveman. The replacement part was shipped promptly and was a perfect replacement for my faulty control board. 

Before swapping parts, I would recommend checking all wire connection first to ensure the issue is not a loose or broken wire. I replaced the main control board. It was a simple repair that took a #2 Philips head screwdriver and a small flat screwdriver to release the clips and wire connectors. 

Took some pictures first to make sure reconnecting were right. A 20 minutes job. Happy to save $200 at least 

After removing the dime we need to replace both CPU boards. First replace the front CPU and it didn't fix it, got start up music but no lights. Needed help, the operators at AppliancePartsPros were great. Sent a new front CPU...it didn't help. Sent the wrong back CPU which was very close to the correct one. Called again and got the correct back CPU and now we have a working washer! Was able to return the extra parts easily. Thanks.
