How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP5665009 / EBR74632605 Pcb Assy

Had to purchase new pcb board which controls the whole range. 

Replaced the PCB assy. 

I explained the problem to Appliance Parts after I tried fixing the problem using my male mentality of I don't need help finally after the third try I succumb to the help of a sweet female voice on the phone after a few moments wait she told me I needed Pcb. Assy. the part I needed was out of stock but she said an updated part would work and the cost was less being a little skeptical I agreed a few days later I installed the part now my stove working like new saved a lot of money and Appliance Parts Pros 365 day guarantee allows me to return the parts I didn't need. 

Switched out the Pcb assembly. Was very straightforward and took less than twenty minutes. 

Ordered new pcb board 

Replaced main control board. Took about 30 minutes to replace. Very easy. There is a recall for this problem on units built prior to 2010. Unfortunately, mine was built a few months later. 

Research part number and ordered.part arrived quickly and install was less than 1/2 hour. Saved hundreds by doing myself. 

Ordered power control board after guessing it was bad when the lcd screen lost some bars on the clock. Easy to replace just unscrew the panel and take a picture just to be safe, and unplug all the cables gently. The tough one was the ribbon cables, you have to slide the outer blue clips out and then pull on the ribbon snugly to detach it, the ribbon will not have a plastic plug look to it, just ribbon. Unscrew the board and reverse the process. Everything that was working before worked after, but still no heat. It's very straight forward if you have a ohm meter and some basic knowledge in how to use one. I followed the steps and found the ohm readouts to be spot on all the way to the last step. So I ordered the relay power control board, should be here Tuesday. 

Service manual (found online) indicated *probably* the main pcb, but *possibly* the membrane keypad assembly. Since our keypad assembly had yellowed and cracked in multiple spots (9 years old), we opted to replace both items simultaneously. Disregard directions in service manual. All that is needed to replace both items easily is to detach the top of the range (4 screws) which holds the keypad assembly and main pcb. Lay it face down on a towel and all screws are easily accessible. Replacement keypad assembly was a direct match. Replacement main pcb was a later version, with three connectors reversed (upside down) from old pcb, plus several connectors had received new labels. However, everything fit back easily (most only fit one spot, in one orientation). Everything seems to work again after the repair. 

Took pic, replaced in 15 minutes, back to normal, like brand new. Thank you Thank you.
