How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP7220429 / 4581EL2002L Roller Kit

Replaced rollers and belt. The belt was likely not necessary but I wanted to be cautious since I had the machine open. 

Replaced all 4 dryer rollers. The old rollers were completely worn out, and one was separate from axle. The rollers purchased were not exact same. 4581EL2002L. The old rollers had a #10 socket to loosen from nut, these had like a #6. The back side of shaft was the same. Tightened up just fine though. Pretty easy project, just make sure you keep track of screws. Repair worked perfect and dryer was quieter, and I hope it increases drying ability. 

Replaced drum rollers. The video was spot-on, and a close match to my unit. Lots of little screws to remove, so a good idea to label them with location & sequence. I was able to do the job without moving the dryer, so I didn't have to futz with the vent. 

I replaced the four drum rollers, and for good measure, I replaced the belt and idler pulley assembly. The repair video was very helpful. 

I took the dryer apart and found a front drum roller had a flat spot on it over 2 inches long. Ordered replacement roller kit and received on next day. Removed all 4 rollers and replaced them, reinstalled all pieces of dryer and tested, noise gone and back to using again. Was totally suprised that received parts so quickly, definitely recommend using them for all appliances from now on. 

I replaced the drum support rollers. Since I had the dryer disassembled and given the age of the unit, I replaced the dryer belt as well. Some dexterity was needed to replace the lower rollers. The replacement rollers also required a different size socket (6mm vs 10mm) in order to tighten. 

I replaced all four rollers (as they came in a kit of four), although only one of them was clearly bad (the bearing was shot and the roller had at least one flat spot). The dryer is 10+ years old and in otherwise good shape. I followed one of several very good YouTube videos on how to take it apart and replace the rollers. It's rather involved and takes a few hours to do a good job, mainly because 70% of the entire dryer needs to be disassembled (including removing the drum). You may be surprised at how much lint was in the dryer cavity. Spending about 30 minutes vacuuming it all out (and blowing out other areas such as the motor with a compressor) is essential, as leaving all the dust and lint in place could certainly create a fire hazard (especially with a gas dryer). The entire job took a few hours, but it's now running as quiet as the day it was installed. Very happy with the rollers and new lint filter; they're perfect. 

Replaced the drum rollers. I tried a cheap bushing kit before, and that lasted maybe a week before a noise returned. Those rollers lasted maybe a year before they shredded. Already I notice a difference with the more expensive bearing rollers. I expect these to work much better and last a lot longer. 

Replace the drive belt, the tensioner and the roller. 

Replaced all four tub rollers, drive belt and idler roller while I had it apart.
