How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP7015078 / 6501KW2002B Washer Rotor Position Sensor Assembly

Ordered part one afternoon, it came next day (by my surprise ),put it on and washed clothes. Thank you. Thank you. Laundromats are tuege. 

Followed the instructional video that was on the AppliancePartsPros.com website. 

Good and running. 

I followed video instructions. Let water out on bottom escape drain (added some bleach in drum just in case). And half an hour later was doing a new load without any issues. I am a 5 foot tall woman in my early fourties.... Feels good to be able to fix things around the house. Thanks for the great video tutorial tool and convenient ordering system on your website!!! 

By replacing the sensor (part# 6501KW2001A). My washer is working and spinning again. Appliance Parts Pro's shipped the part in 2days through regular mail and a friend of mine took about one hour to replace the part. Thank you Appliance Parts Pros for being so dependable!! 

Needed a new drum position sensor. 

Troubleshoot the unit once seeing the LE code. Determined that the drum spun freely manually in both directions. Drum tried to move but kicked out, further pointing to a damaged RPS sensor. Used a Phillips bit on a drill to remove the back 4 screws to access. 17mm socket to remove the outer cover, 10am socket to remove stator unit. Tilted out and held, clicked off the old sensor and disconnected harness. Installed new sensor and connected harness. Put back together in reverse order and started it up to test. Took off right away. 

Replaced rotor sensor switch. Part arrived in one day, replaced old one, washer works perfect. 

Repair went slick as a whistle. Watched video and worked along with it. Took 20 minutes. I'm sure I saved $$$ not having a service repair call.
