How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4441530 / 6600JB3001C Dispenser Switch

Pulled dispensing panel off front of LG side by side per you tube video. Found plastic press switch good, no broken parts. Did find ice dispensing electrical switch corroded. Ordered from Appliance Parts Pros, came the next day. Installed and problem solved. I did replace the mounting screw (new part did not have it) with stainless steel screw from hardware store along with two other corroded mounting screws for the dispenser plate. Works like new. 

I ordered the dispenser micro switch which came the next day. I view the online "how-to" video. I put the part in and now I have water and ice. 

Found part #. Ordered part here in 2 days. Replaced. Good to go!

Ordered two switches and replaced them myself. How to videos on the website were extremely helpful. 

Watching the video for the LG refrigerator specifically for the 6600JB3001F Dispenser switch showed how to replace the 6600JB3001C switch for my ice maker. Used a 1.5" Putty knife following the video showed how to easily, but carefully remove the dispenser front, and was easy to replace. Once in and after letting the icemaker, which I had turned off, create more ice it worked perfectly. 

Looked up the part number at APP, ordered it, got it 2 days later, and replaced the old Dispenser Switch in less than 10 minutes. Thanks to your wonderful video. 

I use appliance parts pros for all my diy projects. I assembled the tools, putty knife and screwdriver. Unplugged the refrigerator and followed the direction from the repair video step by step. I replaced all the old parts with all the new parts. It took me less than 15 minutes to complete the repairs. I closed up the panel and plugged the refrigerator back up. The ice dispenser worked perfectly and my family thinks that I’m a genius. I saved us a lot of money and now I get to go fishing.
