Gary August 13, 2024 for Model Number LFX23961SB Ice maker fills with water, freezes, but will not dump ice. Is there a "switch" that tells the ice maker to dump ice? Also, the ice control lever sometimes will not stay down obviously telling the ice make not to make anymore ice. Lever seems to be spring loaded. I pull the lever down all the way but then it springs back.

George May 22, 2023 for Model Number LRSC26922TT Hi. Ice is being made but won't dispense. I can see Cup flapper as well as Ice Bin flapper are opening but Auger isn't turning. (checked for blockages and it spins freely by hand). There is the normal humming noise when Cube is selected, but when Crushed is selected it is strangely silent, though the cup flapper does open. Water dispensing is fine. From what I've read it could be the ice microswitch (As there might be a separate water microswitch). Or I guess the auger motor but the symptoms regarding crushed don't seem to point to that. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
1 Answer Hello George, you will need a multimeter and check for 120vac to the auger motor when ice dispense is selected, if it is getting 120vac then replace the auger motor, if no 120vac when selected the problem will be in the main control board. Read More...
Tom July 17, 2022 for Model Number 79574025412 My Kenmore will not dispense ice when I push the ice button. It will work for water but not ice. I can take the front panel off a wiggle the switch that opens the chute and tells the motor to put ice out and it will work for a couple of times but the it quits again. Could it be the switch?

Stacy February 24, 2022 for Model Number LRSC26922TT My dispenser was stuck in the on position. After filling a glass of water and removing the glass, it continued to dispense water. When switching the dispenser selection to ice, it continued to dispense ice. Do I simply need a dispenser switch? Also how do I access the switch on my model? The video for the dispenser switch shows how to do it with a different brand/model.

Shane August 04, 2021 for Model Number kenmore 79573055410 Water dispenser randomly dispenses water. Replaced micro switch part #6600JB3001C, which did not fix the problem. Also purchased micro switch part #6600JB3001F, however, I do not see it listed on the parts diagram. Does this model have 2 micro switches and if so, where is 3001F located? If there is only the 1 switch that I replaced, what could the problem be?
