How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4442090 / 6600JB1010A Refrigerator Door Switch

Replaced switches. 

Well, there was a video by appliancespros i played it few times it seem very easy on the video, when i started working it was a little hard but with pacience i got the idea and felt so happy with the results.thanks a lot. 

New switch. Easy to install and very cheap at $20. 

Pssshaw! It was easy. Ordered the new switch from these dudes, watched the youtube video. Screwdriver pried the old switch out. Disconnected. Connected the new one and voila. My wife thinks I am so smart. 

I don't have any background fixing a refrigerator but I knew there was a switch I cannot identify. Then, I look on YouTube snap shots of potential problems and how to get the parts. The video was very helpful. Got the new part from the same company who did the video; also the representative was very helpful. 

Released the mounting tab and removed the old switch. Unplug the connection. Plugged new switch in and snap it back in place. LET THERE BE LIGHT! 

Upon delivery of the switch I disconnected the power, removed the old switch, installed the new one, plugged in the power & the interior lights came on. It took all of 2 minutes. 

I put the model number for our Kenmore refrigerator in a search for an interior light switch on the AppliancePartsPros.com site. A specific part appeared. Then I did a search on installation of the part. A video appeared that showed me how to replace the part...nothing complicated. The part was ordered and when it arrived, I disconnected the power to the refrigerator. The old switch was removed and the new one was in about 5-10 min. When the power was restored, the light came on and then went off when the door opened and closed. Nothing very complicated. 

It was very easy. Once I had watched the video I would have been lost without it.
