How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4442090 / 6600JB1010A Refrigerator Door Switch

Replaced it 

Put part in. 

It was a bit of a wrestling match getting the old one out and disconnected. However connecting the new one and installing it was a "snap". Thank you APP.com 

This is the second time the refrigerator light went out on her Kenmore/LG. The first time she paid $125 for the part and service call to get it repaired. This time I was able to easy find and cross check the part I needed from this site. The repair took 10 minutes and cost $25 dollars for the switch-shipping included. 

Six screws taken out of the plastic drawer guide and flathead to pop out and replace the switch. Easy-peasy. It’s amazing how much you actually miss the fridge light when you don’t have one! Plus the company is great - I ordered the wrong slider, they took it back and got me the correct one within three days!!!! 

Very easy, was in the dark for a long time. Didn’t know where to get parts. I like to buy local but nothing in town. 

Putty knife and screw driver, popped the old one out and installed the new one. Kenmore refrigerator. 

Replaced switch. 

Found AppliancePartsPros.com online and reviewed similar problems/solutions. Ordered the Upper Door (refrigerator portion top side) Light Switch and simply replaced IAW very helpful video. Happy to have the light now working after several years of darkness "on and off" games.
