How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4341432 / DA97-06317A Refrigerator Water Filter Housing Assembly

I replaced it with the part I ordered from Appliance Parts Pros. It was a bit tricky, but once I figured out how to remove the tubing from the water supply line and and the pump, the rest was easy. The new part fit perfectly, and it works like it was made to...perfectly. Thanks guys for your help!! 

I called Sears out to replace the water filter line .Once the tech arrived,he said it would be $318.36 to replace it and he would have to order it and would be a week before he would back to replace it. I went to ApplianceParts and found the part and a video on how to replace it.WOW.I ordered that afternoon, it arrived the next day. Took 20 min to install and saved me $277.00. Great jobs guys. 

I ordered a replacement filter housing from Appliance Parts Pros after checking a couple YouTube videos. Repair/replacement was a lot easier then I anticipated. 

Tried replacing the water valve with no luck. Then I remembered that no water came out of the line from the water tank when I changed the water valve. So I pulled out the water tank and found it had frozen solid and ruptured the line between the two tanks. I replaced the heater element and the tank assembly and it all works perfectly now. 

This was a very simple fix. Shut off water supply line, removed about 8 phillips screws, disconnected the water lines, pulled the old filter unit out (including the water supply lines) from inside the refrigerator, pushed the water supply lines from inside the refrigerator screwed everything back together reconnected the water lines and was completed in about 20 minutes from start to finish. Replacement product worked like a charm! 

I ordered a new housing. Watched a couple of videos made by AppliancePartsPros on how to change out the housing. It was fairly easy to switch out the housing and the water filter itself went in without much of an effort! I’m a 65 year old woman and did the work all by myself!! 

The new filter head was very easy to install. 3 screws and 10 minutes. Corrected the problem. As an added benefit, when I removed the cover to connect the water line, I discovered the coils caked in dust. I will get better cooling and lower cost after cleaning them. 

The Samsung water filter housing and tube assembly was exactly what we needed. Easy to switch out with a screwdriver and wrench. You are always the first website we look at when we have issues with any appliances - parts are always delivered quickly AND YouTube videos are available for self-installation. Post 2009, Samsung modified their refrigerator water filters so they no longer snapped into position without modifications. After filing down the plastic locking rings for 2 years, I finally bought the replacement housing. After watching your excellent video on how to replace my old housing, it took about 10 minutes to complete the entire upgrade and the filters are now a breeze to replace.
