How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4146593 / DA61-01920A Refrigerator Front Caster Wheel Axle

Used the video with the parts and replaced the wheels. The only thing we did wrong was using the front wheel axle instead of the back wheel axle on the back wheels. I will just order two more front wheel axles which are longer than the back axle. Thank you for the video, it made this repair easier. 

Repair was simple following the youtube video, though using a hacksaw to remove the old axle would have been very time consuming. I used a multi-tool which took about 1 minute. 

Removed the old wheel and axle assemblies and replaced with new parts. 

Replaced both rear casters by cutting old axels with a hacksaw blade. Had to loosen lower plate to fit right axel in and remove one compressor bolt to get the left axel installed. Headache level 3-4, skill level 1-2. Hope this helps. 

Replaced all 4 rollers.

I'm a DIY kind of old gal with no real experience but I spent a lot of time reviewing the available videos. I was able to easily order the proper parts and finally install them (often reviewing videos again). I replaced the interior fan. I also replaced the interior heat element, but I don't think that was the problem. The fan had definitely quit working. It has been almost 3 months when the fan started a grinding noise again. I ordered another fan, but in the meantime the grinding noise stopped and the frig still cools properly so I've left it alone. (I'm very short, so working inside the frig is not easy for me.) Conclusion: I believe there was another ice buildup which came in direct contact with the fan until it melted. My frig has a lot of traffic that may interfere with proper defrosting, or as some have complained, it is a Samsung problem.
