Samsung DA61-01920A Refrigerator Front Caster Wheel Axle OEM Part

Samsung does not make it easy to replace the casters. The shafts holding the casters are crimped at the ends and had to be cut off with little room for any tools. I had to jack up the fridge and I used a hacksaw blade with a handle to cut through the wheel shafts. I didn't want to use a reciprocating saw. I couldn't find a way to crimp the new shafts so I drilled small holes at the ends and used cotter pins to retain the shafts in place.The rear caster had no room to slide the new one in without removing the rubber mount under the compressor. Frustrating to the point of almost calling a tech to do the work but satisfying to come up with a way to do it myself.

Used the video with the parts and replaced the wheels. The only thing we did wrong was using the front wheel axle instead of the back wheel axle on the back wheels. I will just order two more front wheel axles which are longer than the back axle. Thank you for the video, it made this repair easier.

Repair was simple following the youtube video, though using a hacksaw to remove the old axle would have been very time consuming. I used a multi-tool which took about 1 minute.

Replaced both rear casters by cutting old axels with a hacksaw blade. Had to loosen lower plate to fit right axel in and remove one compressor bolt to get the left axel installed. Headache level 3-4, skill level 1-2. Hope this helps.

Replaced all 4 rollers.
