How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4318629 / DA97-05422A Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly

Went online and determined I needed to replace the Ice Maker. I ordered my part and replaced it in approximately five minutes and my icemaker is making ice again. 

I replaced the ice Maker and the Tray. It was a simple, easy no issue repair. 

Replaced with new ice maker. Samsung part.

I went through all the troubleshooting with Samsung and YouTube. Determined the issue was probably the ice maker itself. Confident in ordering due to the generous return policy, if that wasn’t the problem. Super easy installation with step-by-step online instructions works like a charm. My husband appreciates that I just fix the appliances instead of depending on him to do it. I’ve repaired the washer, dryer, and now fridge with AppliancePartsPros parts and videos!! 

Put a new ice maker 

I installed the replacement part and the ice maker works again. This is a very simple installation and requires no special knowledge other than using a Phillips screwdriver. There are many videos on YouTube that show this repair in detail. 

I bought a replacement ice maker. Took about 10 minutes to swap it out and it now works like new! Very happy with this purchase and worth every penny. 

Checked water valve, checked filter, checked water lines, decided it was likely the ice maker. Ice maker arrive in two days and was changed out in less than two minutes. We now have ice. 

Replaced with a new ice maker unit.
