How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP5305954 / DA32-00029Q Refrigerator Temperature Sensor

Checked and there was ice behind Frig. panel. This is consistent with other reports that there is a problem with the defrost. Order parts and paid for 2nd day shipping. Everything arrived complete and on time. Replaced the heater, temp sensor, and fan while I was in there. Parts were $120 and it is back to working great - thanks AppliancePartsPros! 

Changed temp and heat sensor, assy motor and the heater-sheath. Works well now , no buzzing sound and temp readings are correct. Samsung side by side in working order for now.Thanks 

Replaced sensor and fan assembly 

Ordered and replaced defrost sensor. Now works fine. ?? 

We removed fan compartment and replaced the temperature sensor , and bought it from appliancepartspros.com, and cost less than 20$ and now works perfect. 

I replaced the sensor defrosted the coils made sure water would drain out to the bottom of the refrig the secret is to take off the back lower cover pull off the rubber drain seperate the black collar from the white tube cut off enough of the restricting tube to keep it from clogging . 

This is a common problem with this model, and through on-line troubleshooting, found out the evaporative fan is a common cause of the refrigerator not cooling. i called to ask a question about a part and got help identifying other easy user-replacable parts that i thought i may as well change while i'm in there. the rep was very helpful and, i couldn't believe it, available at 1130pm PDT on a Sunday night! 

Remove fridge lower pane. De-iced pane with fan, and evaporator with hair dryer. Measured evaporator sensor with ohmmeter. Was open, high impedance. Ordered replacement part, along with the upper fridge main sensor, in case needed later. Called customer service to clarify sensor PN. Shawnia was very helpful. She sent schematics with troubleshooting info. Very useful. Re-assembled the fridge with bad part; waited for the new parts to arrived; de-iced again replaced sensor, after confirming it had the correct impedance. Re-installed panes. 

The freezer was working fine, but the refrigerator was not cooling and was reaching 60F when set to 36F. I defrosted the fridge, removed the panel, replaced the motor, sensor, and fuse. Reassembled and turned back on. It went very smoothly and the fridge has been working well for 3 days now. The only thing that confused me was the thermo fuse-assembly. It is much longer than the one that was already installed in my fridge, but I'm guessing this one is better because it looks more heavily insulated. 

Easily removed the back panel inside the fridge and removed the fan housing replaced the fan and the thermal sensor. Ordered the parts one day and got then all by the next day using standard shipping. Prices better than most sites I visited.
