Joanna November 13, 2020 for Model Number RS265LBBP/XAA My fridge is icing up right behind the inner panel i defrosted it and it ran alright for a little while but froze back up i think it's either a sensor at the bottom issue or defrost thermal fuse. but it may be another sensor since the display temp is not accurate when comparing to my shelf thermometer within the fridge. just need to figure out what parts i need.
1 Answer Joanna, If you are having to defrost the evaporator coils and they refreeze then this will most likely be a faulty defrost sensor on the unit. Read More...
Big Spender May 11, 2020 for Model Number RH25H5611SR/AA Freezer and refrigerator hold temperature just fine. However, the fridge temp display reads 50, the cabinet LEDs are out and the chime dings incessantly. If I resent the circuit breaker, everything is fine: LEDs are on, display reads expected temperature (42) AND THE CHIME IS GONE. For about 20 minutes. Please advise.
1 Answer Big Spender, You will want to check to make sure that the door switches are good which would cause this issue and if the switches are good then it would most likely be a faulty main control board. Read More...
Larry January 24, 2020 for Model Number RF260beaesr-AA My Samsung refrigerator condenser is freezing up and fan is making aloud noises ?. Freezer seems to be to colder then normal and inside refrig. is the right temp. Another question, what is the difference between Temp. sensor, defrost heater and defrost thermostat and what do you think I should order?
1 Answer Larry, the temperature sensor DA32-10104N is responsible for measuring the temperature of the freezer section. It is recommended that this sensor is tested for proper operation by testing for resistance in comparison to the temperature that it is exposed to. If the compressor is continuously operating, then there is a temperature sensing issue, or a defrost issue, that must be checked. Read More...
Doug November 10, 2019 for Model Number RS265TDRS Confused. Video shows temperature sensor being replaced in the back towards the top of the fridge. I am looking for the temperature sensor that sits on top of the fridge defrost system - another question confirms this is it. Does this model have the same part in both locations?
1 Answer Hello Doug, the fresh food evap coil defrost thermistor is part DA32-00029Q. It is located on the evap coil itself, the video shows the replacement of the fresh food air temp sensor. They are different. Read More...
Gene August 22, 2019 for Model Number RF265ABBP/XAA-00 I have a Samsung refrigerator. The freezer is not cold enough ( 20 deg - 25 deg ) while it is set to -14 deg. Also the freezer temperature display does not match the actual temperature. The display shows -14 deg but the freezer is 20 deg. I tested the resistance of the freezer temp sensor and showing 1100 ohms @ 80 degrees and 1330 ohms with ice water ( not sure if tester accurate ) . One more relevant fact is that if I pull the plug and turn it on again then the freezer temperature displayed is accurate. So for example after the freezer temperature display shows (-14 deg) ( actual temperature is 25 deg) I will unplug and plug back in. Now the freezer display will show 25 deg ( accurate ). But after a few hours same issue.
1 Answer Hello Gene, if the ice maker is "on" the control board will default to a temperature setting of -14 deg until the ice bin is filled or ice making is turned "off".The sensor is in range. If the refrigerator seems to be running all the time and the freezer temp does not drop to the set temp (0-5 deg) and the condenser fan is running and the condenser coil is clean, that usually indicates a system problem. Dan July 19, 2019 for Model Number RS265TDRS/XAA I have a samsung rs265tdrs refrigerator. The freezer side works fine but the refrigerator will not cool below 43 degrees according to the display. I have replaced the fan motor, temperature sensor, thermal fuse, and main control board. None of this has fixed the problem. Any idea why this is happening?
1 Answer Dan, You will want to check the evaporator coil and make sure that it is iced up. If it is not and the unit is not getting cold enough, this would most likely be a faulty control board with what has been replaced already. Read More...
Andy July 15, 2019 for Model Number RS267TDRS/XAA-02 Side by side with separate evaporators for freezer and fridge. Freezer is functioning perfectly but fridge evaporator and fan ice up. The sensor measures in the MegOhms and I believe it should be closer to 5 KiloOhms. You list many different temp sensors but none of them specify which sensor they are so I need to know which part number is the correct one for the fridge side defrost sensor. Thanks!
1 Answer Andy, the defrost sensor for your model is going to be part number DA32-00029Q. Read More...
Michael June 12, 2019 for Model Number Samsung refrigerator RTS265TDRS/XAA similar to others that my fridge doesn't cool properly. I did remove all stuff and get the evaporate fan out. I don't know other way to test the fan but plug it back in the fridge and turn on power to see if it works/runs. It doesn't. I am not sure what I did is correct way to check. I also check the voltage coming out from the jack on the back of the fridge. I am not sure how the supply voltage (+12V DC) for the fan would be controlled, if it turns on as the fridge turns on or be controlled by the something else, but when I turn on the fridge and set the temperature to 36F the fan doesn't move and the voltage at the outlet jack shows less than 1 volt. Can you help me diagnose what is wrong and what I need to replace? Thanks
1 Answer Michael, you will want to test for 7 to 12VDC at the fan motor connection with the door switch engaged. If the voltage continues to read 1VDC, then you will want to disconnect the fan wire harness from the connector at the wall and test for voltage again. If the voltage reads between 7 to 12VDC, and stays constant, then there is a short in the fan motor. If the voltage reading does not change from the original reading, then you will want to check the main control for outgoing voltage. If the outgoing voltage is less than the required amount of voltage for fan operation, then the main control is the issue. If the main control does send between 7 to 12VDC, then you have a wiring issue. Read More...
1 Answer Mike, the defrost sensor is going to be located at the top right hand side of the evaporator [DA96-00681G]. Read More...
Gustavo May 02, 2018 for Model Number RF263TEAESR/AA My model is RF263TEAESR/AA according the tag inside, but I don't know which of the five variations is my Samsung refrigerator (RF263TEAESR/AA0000, RF263TEAESR/AA0001, RF263TEAESR/AA0002, RF263TEAESR/AA0003, RF263TEAESR/AA0004) How do I know which is my right model. The tag inside the refrigerator only says RF263TEAESR/AA. I need to buy the defrost sensor and according with your website it is DA32-00011C for RF263TEAESR/AA0001 and the DA32-10105x fit the other four models. Is the temperature sensor same as the defrost sensor? Thanks in advance for your answer.
