Big Spender, You will want to check to make sure that the door switches are good which would cause this issue and if the switches are good then it would most likely be a faulty main control board.

Larry, the temperature sensor DA32-10104N is responsible for measuring the temperature of the freezer section. It is recommended that this sensor is tested for proper operation by testing for resistance in comparison to the temperature that it is exposed to. If the compressor is continuously operating, then there is a temperature sensing issue, or a defrost issue, that must be checked.

Gene for Model Number RF265ABBP/XAA-00

I have a Samsung refrigerator. The freezer is not cold enough ( 20 deg - 25 deg ) while it is set to -14 deg. Also the freezer temperature display does not match the actual temperature. The display shows -14 deg but the freezer is 20 deg. I tested the resistance of the freezer temp sensor and showing 1100 ohms @ 80 degrees and 1330 ohms with ice water ( not sure if tester accurate ) . One more relevant fact is that if I pull the plug and turn it on again then the freezer temperature displayed is accurate. So for example after the freezer temperature display shows (-14 deg) ( actual temperature is 25 deg) I will unplug and plug back in. Now the freezer display will show 25 deg ( accurate ). But after a few hours same issue.

Hello Gene, if the ice maker is "on" the control board will default to a temperature setting of -14 deg until the ice bin is filled or ice making is turned "off".The sensor is in range. If the refrigerator seems to be running all the time and the freezer temp does not drop to the set temp (0-5 deg) and the condenser fan is running and the condenser coil is clean, that usually indicates a system problem.

Dan, You will want to check the evaporator coil and make sure that it is iced up. If it is not and the unit is not getting cold enough, this would most likely be a faulty control board with what has been replaced already.

Michael for Model Number Samsung refrigerator RTS265TDRS/XAA

similar to others that my fridge doesn't cool properly. I did remove all stuff and get the evaporate fan out. I don't know other way to test the fan but plug it back in the fridge and turn on power to see if it works/runs. It doesn't. I am not sure what I did is correct way to check. I also check the voltage coming out from the jack on the back of the fridge. I am not sure how the supply voltage (+12V DC) for the fan would be controlled, if it turns on as the fridge turns on or be controlled by the something else, but when I turn on the fridge and set the temperature to 36F the fan doesn't move and the voltage at the outlet jack shows less than 1 volt. Can you help me diagnose what is wrong and what I need to replace? Thanks

1 Answer

Michael, you will want to test for 7 to 12VDC at the fan motor connection with the door switch engaged. If the voltage continues to read 1VDC, then you will want to disconnect the fan wire harness from the connector at the wall and test for voltage again. If the voltage reads between 7 to 12VDC, and stays constant, then there is a short in the fan motor. If the voltage reading does not change from the original reading, then you will want to check the main control for outgoing voltage. If the outgoing voltage is less than the required amount of voltage for fan operation, then the main control is the issue. If the main control does send between 7 to 12VDC, then you have a wiring issue.

Gustavo for Model Number RF263TEAESR/AA

My model is RF263TEAESR/AA according the tag inside, but I don't know which of the five variations is my Samsung refrigerator (RF263TEAESR/AA0000, RF263TEAESR/AA0001, RF263TEAESR/AA0002, RF263TEAESR/AA0003, RF263TEAESR/AA0004) How do I know which is my right model. The tag inside the refrigerator only says RF263TEAESR/AA. I need to buy the defrost sensor and according with your website it is DA32-00011C for RF263TEAESR/AA0001 and the DA32-10105x fit the other four models. Is the temperature sensor same as the defrost sensor? Thanks in advance for your answer.
