How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6008022 / WP3347288 Agitator Base

I ordered a new lower agitator and replaced. Agitators are wear parts and need to be checked periodically. 

Ordered new agitator for replacement. 

I got a replacement agitator. Watched a video on how to do it on utube. It was fixed in 30 minutes. 

Replaced the lower agitator, the teeth which mate onto the driveshaft were completely worn out on the old one. 

Ordered a new part from appliance parts pros.com watched the video for the install did what they said to do piece of cake 

After I watched your video about disassembling the agitator, I found that the splines on the lower half of the agitator were worn down and didn't engage the splines on the transmission driveshaft. Replacing the agitator solved all our problems!! I placed my order about 3:30 in the afternoon and the parts were waiting on our front steps by 11:30 the next morning. Thanks for all your help and excellent service!!
