How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP3094521 / 285751 Agitator Kit

With agitator cam kit,ordered through APP, not enough u's in smooth to describe how well the repair went! 

After shopping for a new Whirlpool Thin Twin Stack, Found appliance parts pros online and decided to take it apart to see if repair was a possibility. APPro's online instructions were easy to follow, in a couple hours it was apart, and I placed the order. Reg ground took a week from NY, so the laundry piled up that week. The parts arrived on Monday morrning, by afternoon the machine was running like new! The cause was the belt tensioner pulley had frozen. Replaced it, drum wheels,snap rings,drum belt. New cogs and seals for the Washing machine agitator were easy to replace and all worked great. $160 with shipping, saved us $1300 for a new machine. Also disabled annoying loud endcycle buzzer. Agitator kit, 4 dogs and holder. I saw there was a video AFTER doing the repair. Actually wouldn't have helped too much as my model doesn't use the retention ring. I wasn't sure if i could hold the cone upside-down and get the assembly inserted,aligned and latched in the tabs. I did decide to use some vegetable shortening ( i don't have food grade grease) to hold the dogs in the slots. Otherwise they wont stay in while lowering the cap down the barrel. just enough grease to hold the dogs in the slots, a little on the cap o ring after a quick clean off. the first load is with very hot water to dissolve/loosen the shortening. seems to be working, I'm off now to make sure there is no leaks. 

I replaced the worn auger dogs with new ones. 

Replaced the part which had its arms had broken off. 

Replaced agitator, agitator kit, washer and bolt. 

Replaced the agitator kit 

Easily replaced the Washer Pump and the Suspension Spring
