How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6008070 / WP3355758 Agitator Cap

Slipped old one off slipped new one on 

Called this company ordered my parts, they were very helpful, very kind and it came on time. It fit, it works! 

Changed them 

Google search for Kenmore Series 80 agitator" lead me to Appliance Parts Pro where I could watch a how-to repair video and order the parts. For less than $25 and parts delivered in LESS than 24 hours, my washer is fixed. 

I ordered a new one 

Replaced the locking tabs which were worn that locks the agitator to the transmission shaft during agitation as the agitator rotates. I also wanted to replace the agitator because the splines that the locking tabs lock into are built into the agitator but everywhere I looked to purchase the agitator was out of stock and backordered 

I looked at the schematic and determined what parts I needed to order. I placed my order and the parts arrived quickly. 

Replaced the worn and falling parts with the parts I had ordered. 

I ordered the part and exchanged it for the broken one
