How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6007937 / WP33001755 Dryer Drum Baffle

An appliance repair man in area did repairs, the screws were not easy to find and none were supplied with baffles! 

Easy fix like the repair video sent with shipping info 

Watched a video on YouTube and it was really easy to do by myself. Would have taken about 15 mins to fix but no screws were included with this item! Be aware that you need to go buy your own screws...that was really frustrating. 

After watching the video on your website linked to the product page (baffles) I felt confident enough to give it a shot. I followed step by step instructions from the provided video and everything went according to plan. My husband, who was working was very proud! Thanks! Nichole Anglin 

Ordered the replacement baffle from AppliancePartsPros.com and installed it with the assistance from the video on the site. I would not have been able to perform the task without the video. I am very grateful. There was no mention, in the video, about the potential need to replace screws and which screws would be required. After 2 trips to Home Depot, I figured out which screws were needed to complete the job. Without the screw headache the job would have taken no more than 10 minutes. 

I looked inside the drum and noticed one of the baffles was no longer connected to the drum. Over time one of the two support screws loosened and fell out. In the process, the plastic housing of the baffle for the screw cracked. All you need to do is remove the front panel, rotate the drum, remove and replace the baffle with a socket wrench. I'd recommend when selling a new baffle that you offer replacement screws, mine dropped to the bottom of the dryer floor and it took a while to locate it, luckily. BTW... Love AppliancePartsPros! They have helpful videos and had the part in stock. 

Replaced with the new ones 

The video was accurate, concise, complete and very helpful. The repair came off without a hitch but took a little longer because I was replacing 3 baffles. 

Easily removed door and front Panel from drier; raised top and removed two screws from the remaining broken pieces. Used screws to attach the new baffle, lowered top and replaced front panel and door. 

Purchased new one
