How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6007958 / WP33002032 Dryer Drum Baffle

Easy fix like the repair video sent with shipping info 

Disassembled the back cover, unplugged the touchscreen control panel, removed the front panel, and finally removed the top panel to access the exterior of the drum. I removed the old screws & installed the new baffles to the drum, then reassembled everything. 

I am a 78year old woman and 40 years ago I replaced the belt on a dryer but could not even consider such a feat today. I ordered the parts from you on line and also found the video that you very nicely have attached to the site and I saved this under my favorites. The baffles arrived within 3 days and due to my age was unaware that dryers now come in two sizes and the ones I ordered were for the smaller but same model. I worked with a very nice customer service agent on line who got me the correct larger baffles that I again received within 3 days, she also emailed me a return order and address where I could mail the incorrect purchase back. I then had my 28 year old grandson who never owned a dryer watch it and he replaced the three baffles in about a half hour! This unit was one that was left in our rental unit and it was my intention to use it as it was a newer and larger model than the gas dryer I had been using for many years. There is a very old saying that "no good deed goes unpaid", or something to that extent which is evidently very true. We found when he got it fixed and moved into my house I did not have a 220 hookup for an electric dryer so since he had just acquired a house I gave it to him and he has been happily drying ever after. I will be ordering any future parts I need from AppliancePartsPros!!!!!!!!! 

Unplugged the dryer before doing anything. Took the door off the dryer. Took the front panel off. Lifted the top up to expose the tumbler. Turned the tumbler until the location of the broken baffle was at the top. Screwed in the baffle with the two screw holes. I noticed as well that it appeared that the screw holes going through the tumbler seemed to be getting bigger, do to the friction of the baffle moving around while the dryer was on. To fix this I inserted washers into the screws before screwing on the new baffle. While the dryer was open, I spun the tumbler and tightened up the screws on the other baffles as well which were a little loose. After that I closed everything up and made sure it worked fine. 

Replace LED control panel assembly 

I found the model # and ordered the parts . . . watched the video. Took off the door and the front of the dryer and the hooks that anchor the top down. Lifted the top, held the baffles in place inside the dryer and screwed them on (didn't know I needed to order the screws. Found screws and washers that would work in my late husband's collection in the shop). Then I reversed it all and put the dryer back together. 

The video was accurate, concise, complete and very helpful. The repair came off without a hitch but took a little longer because I was replacing 3 baffles. 

Ordered a new one from Appliance Parts Pros and installed per video.

Removed 4 Phillips screws from face frame, lifted the door and removed hinges from slots. Lifted the top up and rested against the wall. Removed screws from remaining plastic nubs, installed new part and tightened screws. Very easy repair.
