How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5989782 / W10852691 Refrigerator Ice Bin Baffle Auger Support

I googled the make and model of refrigerator and looking for breakdowns of the ice maker. I came across your site and found what I was looking for. The price was the cheapest and the part arrived in 2 days. I was shocked. The best part about the site was that it had a video showing you how to disassemble and reassemble the ice bucket. The best site I've found for repairs by far! 

Replaced auger support. 

I watched the videos on how to repair different parts of the ice make when it wasn't working. By taking it apart I was able to decipher that the ice auger support was cracked and a blade was bent. I ordered the parts and after watching the video, I was able to repair it myself and saved a lot of money by not hiring a repair person. 

I have replaced the crusher blades previously and was able disassemble and repair. 

Did some troubleshooting to determine the part I would need. Ordered Ice Auger Plate from AppliancePartsPros arrived asap. Removed ice dispenser tray. Replaced the Ice Auger Support. Reassemble the unit and checked for proper operation. I did watch the helpful video to assist with my repair. 

I ordered a new part from AppliancePartsPros.com. Then watched their video on how to replace the broken part and in less than an hour had it all working just fine. I ordered the part and the next day it came in for $41,00 a little time my refrigerator was working fantastically. Thank you guys for being here when I needed you. I will be back the next time one of my appliances goes down and needs to be repaired! 

I ordered the auger support part and after watching the how-to video, I replaced the part. I really feel without the video I wouldn’t have done the repair. Thank you for the tips and all the information to make the repair so easy. The Ice maker works like new. Thanks again. 

I took it apart and found out that a plastic plate at the end of the auger was broken causing the auger to get caught on it and stopping its rotation. i called this company to order a new auger housing plate 

I replaced the Broken Ice Auger Support with a new part (#AP5989782) on a Whirlpool SxS Refrigerator Model # ED5GTGXNB15. The part is made of ABS plastic cracked after years of use causing the ice maker auger knives to become unmovable, which halted ice through the door harvesting. 

Replaced the cracked support with yours. Your video was great and helped me thru the process and it's working fine now. Hopefully, the the plastic won't crack again.
