How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6013684 / WP9703445 Worm Gear Thrust Bearing

Using youtube instructions I was able to do a complete repair to my Kitchenaid mixer. 

I watched a video on YouTube of the tear-down and putting the gears back together in the right order. I replaced the planetary shaft, along with the gear-case. The bent shaft broke the gear-case, which was replaced as well. Along with replacing the grease. 

REPLACED WORM GEAR. 

Replaced parts with new transmission grease 

I ordered new gears and replaced them. Easy, now my mixer works great. Back to making bread!!
