How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6010352 / WP67003405 Refrigerator Door Pivot Block

We turned off the circuit breaker. We then removed the light cover and then the control panel. We disconnected the Keyboard, Utah, plugged in the new one and turned the breaker on to see if everything worked. We realized that we did not need a new jazz board so that is being returned. The old Keyboard was removed, the new one attached and all the parts were put back. The frig works fine now at the recommended settings of zero and 38F. 

Looked for parts online that were worn and compared prices. Best price was appliance part pros. Ordered and received in 2 days and easily replaced worn parts. 

Replaced the door closure and the mating bushing. However, reading some of the tech suggestions no mention was made of the bushing, only the closure. You should change both of these as they work together to keep the door from opening on it's own. 

Replaced Door guide and Block Pivot 

The door on our 12-15 year old Jenn Aire french door refrigerator was closing and opening quite roughly. Sometimes quite a bit of force was needed to open or close it. I noticed that the top guide as well as the guide on the muillion strip was worn. It didn't look too bad but I thought that it was worth a try to see if replacing that would work. For about a hundred bucks, my refrigerator feels like new again! It is so night and day that it's really not funny. (Also, I never would have thought in a million years that there is a small heating strip in a door muillion, but there is. It is a 10 watt wire that is used to keep condensation from forming on the seal, kind of interesting.) 

Replaced the rail mullion and pivot block. The door operates like new now. 

Fixed all the issues by following the videos on the site. It was easy to follow directions 

Ordered the replacement parts as shown. 

Ordered your block, pivot door guide, it now closes great without help. Just have to remember not to help it. The shipping time was great, 3 days! 

Ordered two parts & easily installed them .. All fixed & I'm a 70 yr old grandma. ??
