Tom K Bay City , MI March 05, 2016 Dryer making a minor rumbling noise like a bad bearing Unplugged the dryer. Took the front off the dryer. Two screws and it lifts out. Spun the drum by hand and noticed a minor sound coming from the blower wheel (fan). Checked the belt and pulled the drum out and checked the motor bearings. Everything seemed fine. The front dryer panel has a duct section where the lint gets blown up to the screen. This was plugged solid with lint. Completely cleaned it out and reassembled dryer. Ran dryer and it still had the original rumbling noise. Wrote down model number and ordered blower, clamp and snap ring. I also ordered a belt. Might as well replace it while I'm in there. Spent about an hour an a half diagnosing and a half hour installing parts. Ordered parts on Monday and I had them by Thursday. Read More... Dale S Oscoda , MI November 14, 2015 Dryer was making a terrible grinding noise I removed the front of the dryer, two clips and two screws and a lift got that front out of the way. I touched the blower motor wheel and it was spinning freely on the shaft. I ordered the wheel, the clamp and the clip that goes on the front of the motor shaft and repaired it in less than an hour. Complete from start to finish including the ordering of parts. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Pliers, Socket Set
Joe P Livingston , NJ December 12, 2014 Appliance: Admiral Gas Dryer ADG20K3W Stripped blower wheel causing rattling noise This was pretty easy to replace on my Admiral dryer. It takes about an hour but while you have the dryer apart you will also want to clean the lint from the vent area. Once you have the front cover off, you simply remove a few screws to get at the blower wheel, remove a clip and take the old blower wheel off, and replace everything in the opposite order. I've done this a few times now to keep "old faithful" alive it's pretty simple. Kudos to Appliance Parts Pros for shipping the wheel super fast...thanks! Read More... Jack G St Petersburg , FL April 21, 2014 The blower wheel in the dryer stripped out at the hub and needed to be replaced My father-in-law showed up at my house with the blower wheel from his dryer. He asked if I knew where I could find a replacement. I got online (he doesn't have a computer, doesn't think they are useful) and went to AppliancePartsPros.com and found the part in about two minutes. While he was complaining about the internet and how much time is wasted on it, I ordered the part, paid, and submitted for delivery. I showed him the confirmation and he just shook his head in disbelief. That was at about 3:45 PM on a Thursday. The following Saturday he stopped by and said the part was on his doorstep by 11:30 AM on Friday morning. He also said it was exactly what he was looking for and that he installed it in 10 minutes and the dryer was working great again. The delivery was unbelievable because I used a Standard Rate and he still got it in less than 24 hours! I received confirmation the order was received, a confirmation that the part was sent, and a follow up message to make sure everything went smoothly. I had given up hope on Customer Service in America (and overseas), but this experience left even me shaking my head in disbelief at the efficiency and professionalism of this experience. My father-in-law wants to go look at computers this week. Thank you sincerely for making this experience so pleasant and simple. I will highly recommend this company and its services. Read More...
