How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6017113 / WPW10208398 Hinge Pin Bushing

Replaced it with parts from your site. Watch the video It all went well 

Unfortunately, none of the videos from AppliancePartsPros.com were for our washer or the door style which is square, not round. There was a video on YouTube but not the same model. Luckily the AppliancePartsPros.com video did state the correct Torx drivers needed T15 and T25 which our local hardware store had. We removed the door from the washer as shown in the video and removed all the screws. We couldn’t separate fully the 2 door parts for some reason but were able to get to the door hinge bracket cover to remove it and the hinge itself. The 2 posts for the top bracket part were sheered off. The new bracket was an exact fit and I was glad to have purchased the 4 white post sleeves ( $22 each!). Reassembled and reinstalled. 

Just installed the replacement parts and it works fine. 

Ordered the part, which showed up in days... really fast. The dryer door came apart easily, replaced the hinge just like they show you in the videos, then reinstalled the door and hinge as a unit. Needed a couple screwdrivers, a regular Philips and a star type. 

Replaced broken aluminum door hinge bracket and four bushings. It was easy after watching the video on their website. Problem fixed! 

Looked online and saw that this problem is usually caused by a bent or broken hinge. Ordered new hinge and nylon bushings for same. Repaired door as seen in YouTube videos' online. Worked great. 

Replaced the hinge, one tab had snapped off. I also ordered the nylon bushing. Be careful, very expensive and are priced each not four in a package. Didn’t need the bushings. 

The top of the hinge had been broken for about a month and we were being very careful/deliberate about how we closed the washer door. We knew we were on borrowed time, but being seniors with medical issues, we didn't want a repairman in the house during the covid pandemic. I decided to attempt the fix myself. I went on the internet, typed in "appliance repair" and found you guys. Finding the correct parts was simple but what I was really grateful for was the video. Really an outstanding reference. Your repairman showed exactly what to do and how to do it. What I was particularly appreciative of was his mentioning the specific torx drivers (weird screwdrivers) I would need. I made sure I had those on hand when the parts arrived only two days later. The repair took under an hour. Thank you for making this a painless experience. 

Replaced the hinge and pin bushings. 

The video was quite helpful. Taking off the door is easy. You'll need a T25 Torx screwdriver. After you remove it, lay it on carpet and remove the screws. Put the screw next to the hole it came from, so you can put it back later. There are two torx screws around the glass - don't remove those. You may find the hinge with 4 metal pins with white plastic rollers. Mine had two broken ones. The white rollers were tine. You'll need a pin to push out the broken post inside the white roller. After that it is just a matter of replacing the hinge and putting it all back together. The Maytag washer/dryer set is fantastic for cleaning clothes. 10/10!
