Anthony R Paramus , NJ October 05, 2014 Appliance: Maytag Refrigerator JFC2089HEP13 We have a jen air jfc2089hep 8 years old the refrig would not hold a constant temp and the water dispenser would not work After consulting with your expert we decided to replace the circuit board. The part was promptly delivered but because it is common to a number of different units it did not come with specific instructions. After reviewing the control parts diagrams we decided that all the parts leading to the circuit board were held in by clips. That was correct but we had a hard time getting all to release. We did so with a flat edge screwdriver. That took about a half hour because we were being extra careful not to break any. Once we got to the board it was easy to unplug it and install the new one. Putting the housing etc back together only took about 5 minutes. We then plugged the refrig back in and after a period of time the temp reset to the 38 degrees it is supposed to operate at and the water dispenser resumed operations. James C Pearl City , HI August 05, 2020 Ice maker / water dispenser not working. Simple to replace the electronic control board. The hardest part was trying to find where it was hidden. Once I got the panel open, it was a 10-minute job with just a screwdriver. The part cost me less than $200. A repairman quoted me around $800 for the fix. I almost spent $2000 on a new frig. Glad I did it myself. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
Tony C San Francisco , CA August 04, 2020 I had broken pantry drawer support, and crisper shelf frame. Also needed a electronic control board for a JennAir refrigerator JFC2099HES. Followed AppliancePartsPro's videos in each part to fix it. The Electronic Control Board was just a plug and play. We learned to patiently wait till the refrigerator temp goes down to 38. No reset was needed. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Nut Drivers, Screwdrivers
