Troy T Highland , CA December 13, 2014 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer WFW8500SR01 F 01 Figuring out the problem and what the code meant. Opened the front lower compartment To clean out drain catch. Did not resolve it. Took out pump to make sure it was clear Inside and turning correctly. Replaced that and Could not get the ccu to reset. So it had to be replaced. Ordered part and got it in two days. Replaced it and just need to remember To replace the front lower panel to activate the safety ground switch. Then ran the test diagnostics. Installed in about 15 minutes. washer has run great ever since. This really has saved me alot of headaches(taking time off from work for service person who couldnt come out for weeks, runs to the laundrymat, etc) and money.
