How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6006153 / WP2196089 Ice Container

Bought ice bucket on line transtered all other working parts to new bin and put it back in place 

Required new ice bin (container) which has busted up in pieces from the stress of trying to turn while half melted ice had it jammed, something had to give. Ice auger ripped itself out of the dispenser end breaking the ice container. Got new container, disassembled per the drawing, reassembled. 

Ordered a new one and changed it. 

Ordered the bucket from ApplianceParts.com, received the correct part and replaced it. 

While churning the ice to dispense it, part of the ice was showing up on the stored food under it. So I ordered the part and now it works properly. 

Found replacement part on AppliancePartsPros.com. 

Replaced with new bucket. 

Ordered a new ice bucket from appliance parts pros which was a perfect fit. Disassembly and installation took about 15 minutes and the price was very reasonable. 

The ice bucket had a crack and hole in it, ordered a new one, four screws later, done. 

I bought and replaced the ice bin, using the old auger, plastic cover and a plastic disk in the back that hold the auger in place. When putting the auger back in place, I did nerd another set of hands, and my husband helped with that. All you had to do was remove the screws and remember how it went back together. An easy fix. Didn't even need instructions, since I'm mechanically inclined. I figured I'd go to you tube if I couldn't figure it out in my own. Yes, I'm a female but I've been taking things apart and putting them together since I was about 5 years old.
