Not too hard, total of 8 screws hold top on, hex head 1/4", if you don't have nut drivers then pick up a set of bits at local home improvement store. Screws, 3 each side and two in back, ones in back are recessed behind access holes. Slide unit out to gain access, take out screws, lift top near front, two wiring harness connectors, one left and one right, disconnect them. Lay top upside down on flat surface protected with towels or throw rugs with old and new side by side. Two screws hold each burner, remove them. With an assistant, lift all burners at once and move to new top. Also move the square pads that are under the burner connectors to new top. Recommend ordering the pads with the top to replace any that may have deteriorated, I had one. Reverse process to reinstall.
BTW service and delivery by AppliancePros.com was excellent, from order to my door in less than a week for an out of stock item. Sipped by FedEx no charge. Price was less than competitors.
