How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6018421 / WPW10276482 Oven Bake Element

Cut power, removed racks and bottom tray, detached old element using pliers and screw driver, installed new element. Put everything back together. 

Measured continuity of the bake element. No Continuity = Open circuit. Conclusion, Bake Element has failed. I ordered a new Bake Element from AppliancePartsPros.com. Finding the right part for to replace the failed element was quick and easy. The new Bake Element arrive on our door step in 2 days. I install the new Bake Element in about 15 minutes and my wife baked Christmas cookies as soon as the oven came to the proper temperature. Any time I need appliance parts in the future, I will order them from AppliancePartsPros.com. 

I replaced the oven bake element. 

Removed the lower heating element and replaced it with a new whirlpool certified replacement part provided by appliance parts pros.

Replace heating coil/element. Took longer to type this survey than it did to fix it. Really basic, like changing a light bulb. 

I've never done a bake element before. Watched the video on the appliancepartspros website and it was a piece of cake. We thought we might have to buy a new oven, thankfully all it took was this $50 part. 

I went online to troubleshoot problem; found many helpful sites and as I suspected the bake heating element was bad, ordered a new replacement part from AppliancepartsPros and within 2 days recieved new part and I made repair. All is good in the cooking world. Thank you!
