How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6011322 / WP7406P428-60 Lower Bake Element

Changed element - working fine now 

Ordered a new element from you, once received took the old element out and replaced with new one. About a 10min fix! 

I found this website and it explained what the problem might be I ordered the part at a great price and it was delivered in a few days. I did what the repair video on here said to do took me a few min and I had a working bottom oven once again!! So this nana now jokes I am a maytag repair lady! 

Once again Appliance Parts Pros came to my rescue! I felt very comfortable with the repair after watching the video detailing the repair on the site. During the repair the video host makes careful note of making sure you don't allow the wiring to slip into the insulation. Trust me folks, it can easily happen. One of the element wires almost slipped into the insulation during my repair. Aside from that, the installation went off without a hitch! I know I easily saved $200 bucks doing it myself instead of calling a repairman. 

Turned off the breaker and removed the elements with a phillips head screwdriver. The oven is a little over 7 years old but removal and installation was a piece of cake. The hardest part is getting enough light in the oven. Use a flashlight. Make sure the Breaker is off, Don’t use the oven light! 

I replaced the lower heating element. 

I removed the screws holding the old element in place and then disconnected the electric lines from the old element. I reconnected the lines to the new element and screwed the element in place. I've got bad knees so the hardest part was kneeling to reach in the stove because the door was in the way, but no big deal. 

Replaced both in about 15 minutes. 

I ordered all the elements from appliancepartspros because of that double check box that lets you confirm that the parts are compatible with the appliance. I'm about a B fix-it dude so that was huge for me, since I hate sending parts back and wasting time. The parts arrived next day and all worked as advertised. Then, I had another issue on the oven. The tech phoned me back at night and spent 20 minutes with me confirming the next part that I needed and I ordered that part. No better feeling than getting the help you need to be productive. 

Ordered bottom element and received it in 3 days.Took 10 minutes to replace.
