How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6017074 / WPW10207397 Oven Heating Element

Replaced the >20 year old sparking broil element and also went ahead and replaced lower heating element on Whirlpool RBD305PDB14 double wall oven. 

I replaced the heating element. 

Ordered new part from you after checking appliance specifications listed inside oven

Put in a new heating element. 

Replaced the element. 

First, I replaced the temperature sensor (least expensive replacement part) and that did not solve the problem, Next least expensive part was the heating element, and after replacing it the temperature was within 5 degrees of set temperature. I can live with that.
