How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6016649 / WPW10192799 Pump Filter

Fix it with the pump filter and washer impeller assembly and the docking station. The video helped a lot. 

Replaced the pump filter due to some material inside of filter. 

I discovered that the Wash impeller was severely cracked and not longer providing tension and several holes in the filter. The Docking station valve had torn off but on the bottom where I almost always have the rack. Replacements were straight forward and arrived two days earlier than expected. I didn't realize just how little water was being sprayed, I went from a grinding groaning sound to a pleasant swishing and no food particles scatter around. 

Jenn Air dishwasher repair. Chapman Commons condos has horrible water. It’s hard water left hard water deposits on the filter. The water was shut off once a month and sediment from the boiler would leave this black deposits that clogged the water filter and the pump filter. Since then I have moved and wanted to replace my pump filter. Finding and ordering the part with appliance pros was easy and getting order took only a few days. My dishwasher is running clean again. 

Replaced wash impeller/accumulator and fished out pieces of plastic and glass in bottom of Dishwasher Everything works great, but unfortunately, dishes are till not being cleaned. 

Replaced the bad parts. 

Replaced the pump filter. Although first filter was delivered damaged, Appliance parts pros had another unit shipped to m e quickly. I am a satisfied customer. 

Followed a video on how to take it apart, cleaned 13 years of hard water lime buildup off all the plastic parts, but the filter/accumulator was too dirty to get clean inside. Replacing the filter took about 15 minutes (since all the other parts were cleaned a couple days previous) and it was so easy my 16 yr old daughter did the replacement alone. 

Smooth didn't have any problems
