How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6010686 / WP71002111 Grease Range Hood Microwave Filter 6-7/8" X 15-9/16" X 3/32"

Replaced it. Found the product immediately on your site and had it in a couple of days. 

Ordered a new filter. It could not have been easier. The part was at my door the second day after ordering and was exactly right. 

Changed out motor 

Replace front control panel and oven door gasket. 

I replaced it. Along with the filter screen, because it was very reasonable at AppliancePartPros.com also and easy job. When I picked up the element it folded in half. I am amazed it didn't burn the house down. 

Ordered new grease filter from you. 

I just needed to replace old filter. 

Watched the video on how to do it. The repair went great! The oven is back working like it used to. 

Folks, let me tell you. To make the job easier, take a picture after each step of removing a set of screws! No, the job wasn't hard, however when you forget which step was next (AND YES! I placed the screws in order on the counter! TG). It took longer than it should have. My husband got a little impatient because, YES, you know I had to clean! Overall, I'm thrilled. Used the oven last night and who knew how much heat was being lost. I can't tell you how long it's been since something that was supposed to cook 30min, ACTUALLY took 30min. Want to say a huge THANK YOU for having a diagram of my 30+ year old oven. That helped immensely to get everything back together (because neither I, nor my husband could remember exactly! Hahahaha) Don't let my time fool you. Again, I had to clean it (Highly recommend vinegar, baking soda & #0000 steel wool - it's the BOMB!) I FEEL LIKE I HAVE A NEW OVEN!!! PS - we did not remove the door to do the job. Kind of glad about that.
