How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6008069 / WP3355458 Switch, Lid

I ordered replacement part from AppliancePartsPros on sunday.Part came Tuesday.(very quick)By the time I figured out how to get the old part out, I almost destroyed the rest of the washer. Once I got to the faulty part, it was easy to change. It would have been a 15 min. job if I had known how get the machine apart. I could find no instruction for machine I have. 

Used you tube to find video on process and then adjusted to fit my needs. 

My building handyman was familiar with the problem and replaced the broken part in less than 15 minutes. The part arrived the day after I ordered it online! 

$30 bucks and 20 minutes of time and washer works again.. 

Replaced lid switch 

Bad lid switch--easy repair. 

Replaced lid switch. Solved the problem. Dry easy fix and cheap! 

The switch lid replacement fixed our issue of not draining, rinsing or spinning. 

I followed youtube video to replace switch it was an easy fix. 

Replaced safety switch. Took longer to view YouTube video on how to get washer lid off than to actually replace the switch assembly. Perseverance, successful change-out. Would have been nice to have had new harness clips. I am assuming the ones there were original, and were heavily rusted, and not a lot of spring left. Ground clip was totally rusted, not salvageable. Overall, not a bad experience.
