How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6008069 / WP3355458 Laundry Center Lid Switch

I did some online research at this website and others and decided that the lid switch was bad. I checked the local appliance parts suppliers and they were all higher than APP and no one had it in stock. When I ordered the lid switch from APP at a big savings even with shipping, I received it the next afternoon and could have had it earlier if I had not been at the end of the drivers route. I received it in 27 hours. The whole job took less than an hour and it fixed the problem. I can't thank AppliancePartsPros.com enough for the low price and quick delivery, I will keep them on my short list.. 

I ordered replacement part from AppliancePartsPros on sunday.Part came Tuesday.(very quick)By the time I figured out how to get the old part out, I almost destroyed the rest of the washer. Once I got to the faulty part, it was easy to change. It would have been a 15 min. job if I had known how get the machine apart. I could find no instruction for machine I have. 

Used you tube to find video on process and then adjusted to fit my needs. 

My building handyman was familiar with the problem and replaced the broken part in less than 15 minutes. The part arrived the day after I ordered it online! 

$30 bucks and 20 minutes of time and washer works again.. 

Replaced lid switch 

Bad lid switch--easy repair. 

Replaced lid switch. Solved the problem. Dry easy fix and cheap! 

The switch lid replacement fixed our issue of not draining, rinsing or spinning. 

I followed youtube video to replace switch it was an easy fix.
