How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6012736 / WP8317926 Washer Vacuum Break Hose

Unscrewed console and tilted it back. Then removed clips for machine skin. Rocked it back slightly to access the tub side hose. Removed water inlet valve assembly and removed from the valve. Fished out the old hose. Fished in new hose. Reattched it then reassembled unit. Spent 15 min looking for clip I lost on NASTY FLOOR AAAAAARGH! When done I tested it then found the cold inlet hose screen was clogged. Went to store and replaced hoses and inlet screens too. Glanced over at other washer and noticed it hoses were about to blow and changed them too. When changing hoses on other machine noticed the valve inlet threads were mostly stripped so i went back to you guys and ordered new valve assembly for that unit! 

With the hose exactly shaped as the original, it was easy to replace it. 

The main housing was easily removed to locate the split hose. I couldn't identify the hose part number. AP Pros tech support quickly identified the proper part and delivered it in a few days. 

Replaced the hose with a new one. The youtube videos you guys attach to the parts detail are very helpful. 

Ordered with phone call that was answered by a human, Mike. Who was super helpful and friendly and calm. I didn't have part name, but Mike knew. Replaced odd shaped hose myself. Current finances required DIY. Part arrived very quickly. Thank you Mike and all. Sincerely Jay. 

Replaced the hose connecting input hoses to the drum entry. 

I came across ApplianceartsPros.com webpage and I found a gold mine of information!!!! When I took the house of the washing machine off I could see right away where the water was pouring and shooting out of and by using y’all’s website I noticed exactly what the name and number of the part was and it was so easy to order I just made a phone call gave them the information the Lady ask for and gave my credit card number and in about 2 1/2 days I had my part and about 21 minutes later it was fixed running and washing clothes again. It don’t get no easier than that and the guy that did the videos really was a great help and the Lady that answered the phone was wonderful and she knew all the right questions to ask!! Like I said y’all’s website is truly a gold mine of information for any DIY person I saved a Buku of money by doing it myself.!!! I will be telling everybody about y’all’s website and praising y’all Highly for it!!!! Thanks y’all for the great website excellent excellent job on y’all’s website again thank you. Replaced hose. New hose was better quality than the own hose 

The replacement hose worked perfectly. 

Replaced hose and 15-year old water inlet valve assembly (valve replaced as "insurance" only).
