How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP3062348 / 1129316 Icemaker, Complete Add On Kit.

Website helped me match my problem with the CORRECT part and I was able to complete the entire project in about 10 minutes. 

The icemaker in my 20 year old Kitchen Aid stopped working. I did the basic electrical check and decided with the age of the icemaker, I would order the complete kit. The AP3062348 kit arrived (fast shipping) and everything plugged into the original wires. Fast installation and most important is that the wife is happy again. Great video that helped me a lot. 

Replaced ice maker.

Replace the whole unit. Did not replace the solenoid valve on the outside, lower rear of refrigerator. 

Replaced with the kit provided by your company. 

Replaced the unit. A kit is cheaper than just the ice make, go figure... 

I replaced the complete Icemaker with a screwdriver and some common sense 

Our Kitchen Aid fridge came ready for an ice maker to be installed but one never was, KIMS8 unit. Got the kit I needed along with a braided hose for the supply. Checked the icemaker to see if it was working by jumping T&H. (Marked holes on the icemaker). Didn't respond, so we ordered an icemaker from appliance parts pros. Problem fixed.
