How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP3177342 / 8201515 Icemaker Motor Module

The price for the ice maker motor module was competitive, compare to other sites. The best part of the purchase was the repair video that was posted on the site. Since I had not done this repair before, I was a little hesitant, but it was strait forward and easy to follow. My repair took all of 30 minutes, I saved a bundle vs. hiring a repairman, and my fridge was back to making ice within the hour. 

Replaced motor that was sent,however all the other parts were to big but its making ice. so I'm very pleased 

Replaced the valve and motor/module. 

I ordered the motor modual and installed it. It took a while because I had to disasemble everything and put it all back together. 

Bought the part and used the video to replace it. Worked great!

Purchased the timing wheel and replaced it ourselves. It is now working fine again. It was a pretty easy fix and took us just about 1 hour by the time we were able to get it apart and back together. 

Order the Ice maker Motor Module, watch the video on the replacement of the module, changed all the parts included. Had to remove the freezer door and drawer since I own a bottom freezer whirlpool. 

I ordered a new motor drive after testing the soleniod as suggested by the APP "chat" advisor. APP provides a video on how to replace the ice maker motor which made the job simple and easy.
