How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6048461 / W10916040 Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly

Ordered new icemaker & filter - I got someone else to install - very easy 

Your staff was able to find the part I needed and ship it to me for about $60, this instead of a appliance repairman's quote of about $275. I received the part and it took about 15 min. to install. We put the ice cube trays away again, and have our icemaker refrigerator back. Thank you for being there. 

Purchased and installed a new one.

Installed new icemaker 

After having a authorized repair tech give me a quote for $300 to replace the Ice maker. I looked online and saw the video that was posted by appliancepartspros.com and realized that this was a simple thing that can be done. I ordered the parts and it arrived the next day, and in 15 minutes i had replaced the part and was fully operational. 

Easy repair, unscrew three screws, unplug bad unit, and put new one back in. 10 minute job at the most. Shipping was extremely fast. 

Our icemaker came the day after we ordered it. It was simple matter of loosening the screws, unplugging and removing the icemaker. Plugging the wire back in inserting the new icemaker putting the screws back in. We had ice within the hour.
