Description
This refrigerator icemaker assembly forms and ejects ice cubes automatically to keep your freezer's ice bin stocked. Replacing a failed unit restores consistent ice production when the original stops cycling or makes little to no ice. What it does:
- Coordinates fill, freeze, and harvest to produce batches of ice cubes
- Ejects cubes into the bin and halts production when the bin is full (model-dependent control)
- Restores function when the old icemaker no longer cycles or ejects
- Typical symptoms: No ice production, intermittent or low ice output, cubes stuck in the mold, icemaker not advancing through a harvest

- Unplug the refrigerator and turn off the water supply before servicing
- Remove the ice bin; loosen mounting screws and disconnect the wiring connector
- Position the new assembly, reconnect the harness, align the fill cup to the fill tube, and secure with screws
- Restore power and water; check for proper fill and harvest
