How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6017832 / WPW10251076 Icemaker Assembly

I replaced the Ice Maker Assembly. 

I asked a question on The AppliancePartsPros.com website about my problem. They recommended a solution and a link to order a replacement icemaker part. The YouTube video on how to replace it said it would take about 30 minutes. The video was very clear and only took me 25 minutes to replace it! Good job!

Watched the Appliance Parts Pros video. 

We found the probable cause online at the AppliancePartsPros.com website. Watched the "how to replace icemaker" video a few times to familiarize myself with the replacement process. Although the video omitted a couple of small steps, with the help of the telephone rep who sent schematics in just a couple of minutes I was able to make the repair. The amazing thing was how fast the part arrived. I ordered it one afternoon, and it appeared on my doorstep the next afternoon! Couldn't ask for better service from either the representative on the phone or the people who handled the delivery of the part. A++++

I replaced the ice maker. It took about 1 hour. The part came without any instructions. I ended up with one connection and no where to put it. I found the problem on the old unit, it was the door sensor that didn't come with the new unit! Ice maker now works GREAT. 

I replaced the ice maker assembly. Installing the replacement went smoothly, I was in and out in about 15 min.
