How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6007679 / WP3150373 Burner Knob

Ordered new burner knobs from Appliance Parts Pro. Our stovetop is original to the house (circa 1975), so finding these burner knobs was great. 

I ordered a couple of new knobs that fit very quickly and easily. But what I was impressed with was the speed of delivery. The parts came the very next day using standard shipping! 

New replacement knobs. 

Installed two supplies knobs. Now want to buy two more, plus one for dishwasher. 

Ordered, delivered on time, put it on. works great thank you. 

When I called for help the representative was more than helpful. She took the time to look up several possibilities and thoroughly check out all options until she was sure she had the correct knob. She was not in a hurry and treated me as if helping me was her pleasure. It was nice to have someone that felt my problem was her's to solve. At the close of our conversation she informed me of an unadvertised special that I took advantage of. My knobs arrived promptly and fit perfectly. It's so nice to have all the knobs working and making cooking so much easier. I hope the representative that helped me will be recognized for above and beyond service. 

I glued the knob together and reattached to oven. After several years, it broke again do it was time to get a new knob. I ordered a knob and it was a perfect match. 

Thanks to the excellent service provided by Edward, who researched the proper parts for my old electric stove top, I replaced the heating elements, drip pans, and knobs. It took five minutes, was easy, and the stove top looks and works great. This project started because a knob broke and I was looking for a replacement. I decided to replace everything once I had confidence I was getting the right parts. I originally purchased knobs on Amazon that did not fit. The Whirlpool site identified my model as having been discontinued but provided no guidance on part numbers for current replacement parts. The service provided by Edward was great, and the prices were lower than buying directly from Whirlpool. 

Replaced knobs 

Replaced all 4 knobs with new. Your website asked for model number only, which I supplied. The knobs sent were incorrect. I called customer service, was asked for serial number, it seems the website knobs were not the ones needed for my stoves serial number.My first knobs were returned, new (correct) knobs were sent to me.All thanks to your excellent customer service person, a very professional and knowledgable woman named Paula.Let's hope your website people are as skilled as Paula.
