How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6008102 / WP3362625 Washer Timer Knob

We tend to be intimidated by things we don't know or understand. Having said that, Appliance Parts Pros made tackling this repair easy. (There's even a little trick to getting those stubborn corroded water lines off, research it) 

I ordered the part and was able to easily install it in seconds! 

Installed new timer knob and dial no tools needed. The dial can be pulled off by hand and the knob screws on. 

Screwed it on. All is well. 

I was able to find the knob on your site , i looked for months and never found anything close to what i needed, then you came along with this site and i researched and found what i needed! 

Very simple repair. Used needle nose pliers to hold back of bolt and unscrew broken knob. Then simply screwed on new part. Total repair time less than 5 minutes. 

This is an old Kenmore (Sears) unit. That knob was made out of plastic. The replacement is made out of metal. It took us seconds to put the new one on! The best part was that we received the replacement knob the very next day!! 

Just needed to screw it on and bingo-bango it works! 

Installed new knob. 

The new knob did fit and was metal inside instead of plastic so that is wonderful. Maybe my washer will last another 20 years!
