After lots of online research to determine what the problem was with my 13 year old Jenn-Air (Whirlpool) downdraft oven/range Appliance Parts Pros was called. Their rep confirmed that a defective touch pad was the issue so I ordered a new control panel. Owing to the age of my oven I also ordered a new oven door gasket and a replacement stove knob. I requested installation instructions which were poorly covered in a Whirlpool repair manual which APP sent me via email. Fortunately, there was a helpful video on YouTube ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wo_NGM28ABQ ) which showed some detail I needed concerning removal of electrical connections from the old panel. That video was really all that I needed to proceed with confidence to repair the oven and at a fraction of a new units cost. Phew!
